To collect your guests' photos without asking them to install anything, put a QR code on the tables that opens a shared album: everyone uploads their photos from their phone, with no app and no account, and you find them all in one place. The other methods work too, but each loses something along the way: quality, guests without an account, or weeks of waiting.
The four methods compared
| Method | Nothing to install | Photo quality | All in one place | When |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| QR code and shared album | Yes | Good resolution | Yes | During the party |
| Messaging group | The app is needed | Often compressed | Mixed in with messages | During the party |
| An online photo service's album | Often an account | Good | Yes | In the following days |
| Disposable cameras | Yes | Variable | After developing | Several weeks |
The messaging group is the reflex, and often the weakest choice: photos are shrunk, mixed in with messages, and those who are not in the group send nothing. Disposable cameras have their charm, but you see nothing until the films are developed.
Where to put the QR code
On the tables, where phones lie during dinner: an A6 card per table. At the entrance or by the bar, an A4 poster. Both formats download ready to print from the album. A sentence during the speeches, "your photos go here", doubles the uploads better than a second card.
During the party
From the Signature plan, photos scroll on a TV or a projector as they arrive, through a secret link separate from the upload link: whoever uploads does not control the screen. You remove a photo in one gesture, and your guests can report one.
After the wedding
The album opens from the Essentiel plan, with 150 photos on Essentiel, 400 on Signature and 800 on Prestige. Photos are kept for 30 days after the wedding, then permanently deleted: they are not part of any backup. To keep them longer, the Keepsake option, at €19, keeps them for 6 months and lets you download the whole album as one archive.
The details are on the wedding photo album page. To put the QR code on your tables, create your wedding invitation.
